Dr. Ivayla Georgieva graduated from University “St. Kliment Ohridski” with a master’s degree. Since 1992, he has been working as a clinical psychologist at the Clinic for Pediatric Clinical Hematology and Oncology of the University Multispecialty Hospital for Active Treatment (UMBAL) “Tsaritsa Joanna – ISUL”, Sofia, where he consults children with oncohematological diseases and their parents.
He obtained the specialty “Clinical Psychology” (2002) and the educational-scientific degree “Doctor” (2020) at MU – Sofia.
She has completed training under the “Tempus – Damaged Childhood” Program of the Ministry of Health and “Ecx – Marseille II” University, Marseille, France, 1994. Certified art therapist-consultant and trainer at CSRI “GOLDEN RIBBON” – direction – upgrading training of employees. Trainer and lecturer at annual summer rehabilitation camps for children with hemophilia and their parents of the Bulgarian Hemophilia Association.
There are over 40 scientific publications and over 20 participations in scientific conferences in the Republic of Bulgaria and abroad. Author and co-author of educational brochures for patients, parents and relatives: “Book for the parent”, “Information and advice for parents of children with leukemia”, “Overcoming nutritional problems in children during chemotherapy and radiotherapy”, “Friends help”, “Bone Marrow Transplantation – Questions and Answers” and others.
Member of the Bulgarian Association of Clinical Psychology, Bulgarian Society of Psychosomatic Medicine, ICOH, EHPS. She is registered in the public register of practicing psychologists. Full member of the Bulgarian Psycho-Oncology Association (BAPO).
